How ‘Ted’ Was In The Oscars

Mark Wahlberg presented this year’s Oscars for Sound Mixing and Sound Editing awards with his big screen co-star, Ted. When it was announced that Seth MacFarlane would be hosting the 85th Academy Awards, the decision to feature the wildly innapropriate talking bear make an appearance was made almost insantly.

Universal Pictures footed the bill to make the the imaginative vision an animated reality. It provides a great promotional plug for the upcoming ‘Ted 2′. The script for the bit was then written by MacFarlane and ‘Ted’ co-writer, Wellesley Wild. The bit broadcast from last night was in actuality filmed in the middle of January — those in the Dolby Theatre audience merely saw Wahlberg standing by an empty stool.
